Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when EngineeringDownloads can issue a refund, wallet credit, replacement delivery, or other remedy
for purchases and services made on our website.

Last updated: February 15, 2026

1) Overview

  • EngineeringDownloads sells digital products (paper-based models, engineering files, tutorial packages, tools/software items)
and provides services (consultations and project-based work).
  • Because most items are delivered digitally and/or immediately accessible after purchase, refunds are limited and depend on
the product/service type and the issue reported.
  • If you have a problem, please contact us first — we can often resolve it by re-delivering files, helping with access,
    or providing a replacement.

2) Digital Products (Models, Files, Courses, Tools)

Digital products are typically delivered instantly (download link, account access, or online content). For that reason:
all digital product purchases are generally non-refundable once the file has been downloaded or access has been granted,
except in the cases listed below.

2.1 Refund-eligible cases (digital products)

You may be eligible for a refund, store credit, or replacement delivery if you report the issue within 5 days
of purchase and one of these applies:

  • Duplicate purchase (you were charged twice for the same item).
  • Corrupted or inaccessible file that we cannot fix or replace within a reasonable time.
  • Wrong file delivered (the delivered file does not match the product page listing).
  • Access problem (you paid but cannot access the content, and support cannot restore access).
  • Material mismatch where the item is significantly not as described (case-by-case review).

2.2 Non-refundable cases (digital products)

  • You changed your mind after receiving/download/access.
  • You purchased the wrong item due to not checking requirements (software version, prerequisites, file type, etc.).
  • Compatibility issues caused by your device, OS, third-party software versions, licensing, or local settings.
  • You expected custom modifications or extra support beyond what is stated on the product page.
  • Discounted/clearance items marked as final sale (if stated on the product page).

2.3 Best-effort resolution first

Before issuing a refund, we may offer (and you agree to cooperate with) one of these remedies:
re-download support, replacement delivery, or store credit / ED wallet credit.
This is often the fastest way to solve the problem.

Note on digital withdrawal rights (EU/UK): If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, digital content rules may limit
the right of withdrawal once performance begins. By purchasing digital content on EngineeringDownloads and receiving instant access,
you request immediate delivery and acknowledge that your withdrawal right may be lost once access/download starts (where applicable by law).

3) Consultations (1:1 Sessions)

Consultation refunds are handled as ED wallet credit in most cases (instead of bank/card refunds), unless required otherwise by law.
Wallet credit can be used for future consultations, projects, tutorials, and products.

3.1 Cancellation & late/no-show (consultations)

  • Cancel more than 48 hours before the session: 100% to ED wallet.
  • Cancel less than 48 hours before the session: 40% to ED wallet.
  • More than 15 minutes late: session may be canceled, 50% to ED wallet.
  • No-show: typically 30%–50% to ED wallet (case-by-case based on circumstances).

3.2 Service quality issues (consultations)

If something goes wrong, please report it promptly after the session. Common outcomes:

  • Consultant abandons session / fails to deliver: up to 100% to ED wallet.
  • Consultant inadequate (verified): up to 70% to ED wallet.
  • Unrelated questions / wrong scope: typically 0%.
  • Client leaves early while consultant is adequate: typically 0%.

Important: If you do not provide feedback after a session, it may be treated as approval and can limit later refund claims.

4) Custom Projects

For project-based work (custom simulation/model development, thesis/industrial support, etc.), refunds depend on the project status
and the issue reported.

4.1 Refund eligibility (projects)

  • Project not completed: you may be eligible for a full refund (or wallet credit), after review.
  • Reported issues within 5 days of delivery: we can offer revisions and/or an appropriate refund/credit if unresolved.
  • No feedback after 5 days: delivery may be treated as accepted and payment may be released, limiting later refund requests.

4.2 Disputes & revisions

If you are unhappy with results, please request revisions within the stated window and provide clear technical details.
If you and the consultant cannot resolve the issue, you may open a dispute with our support team for review.

5) How to Request a Refund

To request a refund (or credit/replacement), contact our support team and include:

  • Order ID (or invoice/receipt email)
  • Product/service name
  • Issue description (what happened, what you expected)
  • Evidence if helpful (screenshots, error logs, download/access issues)
  • Preferred resolution: replacement delivery, ED wallet credit, or refund (where applicable)

6) Processing & Refund Method

  • When approved, refunds may be issued as ED wallet credit and can be used for future purchases/services,
unless a direct refund is required by law or the payment method allows a return to the original source.
  • Payment processor fees (if any) may be non-refundable and can be deducted where applicable.
  • If a partial delivery has already been accepted or used, we may offer a partial credit/refund based on the remaining scope.

7) Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can fix the issue quickly.
Unresolved chargebacks may result in temporary account limitations (for example, restricted downloads or service access)
while the payment dispute is investigated.
