About Course

Cell separation modeling

In this modeling, two groups of biological cells, including red blood cells and platelets, are released across the microchannel inlet. In this modeling, platelets are separated and released from the microchannel, while red blood cells are trapped inside the microchannel chamber. To achieve this, two electric fields with different frequencies are used. One field produces a positive dielectrophoresis force, and the other produces a negative dielectrophoresis force. The software used for this modeling is COMSOL Multiphysics v6.
