About Course

Product Overview:

This video tutorial demonstrates the simulation of an air blast explosion impacting a sandwich panel composed of Aluminium and Epoxy Glass layers. The CONWEP procedure is utilized to model the effects of the blast. In this setup, Aluminium is represented as a three-dimensional component, with its behavior under blast loading characterized by ductile damage using the Johnson-Cook plasticity model. For the composite Epoxy Glass, Hashin’s damage criterion is employed to evaluate its performance.

During the detonation, significant deformation of the panel occurs, leading to failure in certain areas. To enhance the performance of the interaction between the composite layers and the Aluminium, several parameters are implemented within the Interaction module, including damage evolution, geometric properties, cohesive properties, and linear stiffness.
