In this video, we demonstrate the simulation of crack growth in a pressure vessel using the Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM) within ABAQUS. Due to the complexities involved in modeling the pressure vessel directly in ABAQUS, we imported the geometry from SolidWorks.

For the material of the pressure vessel, we utilized aluminum, implementing traction-separation laws (Maxps) combined with power law evolution to accurately predict crack progression.
