Description

Product Overview:

This project focuses on analyzing heat transfer in a four-cylinder engine block. The CAD model of the engine block is imported into Abaqus for comprehensive simulation.

To accurately model material behavior under thermal loading, all material properties are temperature-dependent. A coupled temperature-displacement analysis is therefore employed, allowing for the interaction between thermal and mechanical effects in the engine block.

In this simulation, three temperature-defined faces serve as boundary conditions, simulating real operating conditions. Additionally, film and radiation heat transfer conditions are applied to the surfaces of the block, accounting for convective and radiative heat loss.

A tetrahedral mesh is used for the finite element model to ensure appropriate resolution of temperature and stress gradients within the engine block.
