This video presents a step-by-step simulation of embankment construction on a saturated soil foundation using Abaqus. The soil is divided into two sections: dry and saturated.

For the soil material, an elastic model with Coulomb-Mohr plasticity has been applied. Due to the saturated soil properties, the permeability is defined within the material settings. The analysis includes seven steps: the first step involves applying body forces to the soil, steps two through six focus on the embankment construction, and the seventh step allows for a resting phase with an extended time duration to observe soil behavior. During construction, stress builds up within the soil, and afterward, pore pressure decreases as the soil transitions from saturated to dry, losing moisture content.
